💡 Shikara vs. Houseboat: Which one?
If you want a washroom, a room to relax in, and freshly cooked food on board, choose a Houseboat. If you want a cheaper, faster ride through very narrow canals for just 1-2 hours without food, search for a Shikara.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do we get a room during the Day Cruise?
Yes! Even for a day cruise, we provide one private bedroom with an attached washroom. You can use it to freshen up, change clothes, or for kids to nap. Additional rooms are locked unless paid for.
Is alcohol allowed on the boat?
We do not sell alcohol. However, guests are permitted to bring their own beer/wine for consumption in moderation. We can provide glasses and ice cubes.
Can we swim in the backwaters?
No. For safety reasons, swimming in the backwaters during the cruise is strictly prohibited. The currents can be unpredictable.
Is the food vegetarian or non-vegetarian?
The standard menu includes both (Chicken & Fish + Veg sides). However, if you are strictly vegetarian or Jain, please inform us 1 day in advance, and we will prepare a separate meal for you.
