Houseboat Cruise Guidelines

Welcome aboard Beautiful Alleppey! Please review these important guidelines regarding timings, onboard amenities, meals, and safety rules to ensure a delightful backwater voyage.

Night Anchor 5:00-5:30 PM
Kitchen Closes 10:00 PM
Check-Out 09:00 AM
Schedule Note: Management will not be responsible for late arrivals; halting will be as per normal houseboat timings. Travel extension is subject to availability upon extra payment.

Air Conditioning (A/C) Policy

  • Deluxe Bookings: A/C is facilitated only in the Bedroom from 09:00 PM to 06:00 AM.
  • Premium / Luxury Bookings: Full-time A/C usage available throughout the stay.
Voltage Drop Notice: In rare weather conditions (windy or rainy), voltage drops may occur at night causing temporary slowing of A/C cooling.

Facilities & Resource Conservation

  • Houseboats have limited facilities. Please do not compare with mainland Hotels or Resorts.
  • Water Conservation: Storage capacity is limited. Please do not waste water and keep taps closed after use.
  • Electricity Conservation: Please switch off fans and lights when not in use. In case of electricity, water, or A/C failure, inform the crew immediately.

Dining & Kitchen Services

  • Only a fixed menu consisting of traditional Kerala cuisines will be served on board.
  • Guests are not allowed to cook or use the kitchen inside the houseboat.
  • Kitchen and cook services are available maximum until 10:00 PM. Kitchen services are unavailable after 10:00 PM.

Safety & Night Navigation

  • Houseboat anchors between 5:00 PM & 5:30 PM for the night stay. No lake cruising is permitted in evening or late night hours.
  • To maintain privacy of backwater culture, guests are requested to retire to bedroom after completing dinner by 10:00 PM (Max 10:30 PM).
  • The Houseboat captain has the right to change/divert the route based on water traffic and climate conditions.
SWIMMING IN THE LAKES IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

Property Protection & Belongings

  • Houseboat Allocation: 99% of the time, the exact boat shown in photos is provided. In rare (1%) maintenance cases, an equivalent quality boat will be provided.
  • Damage Responsibility: Breakage or destruction of any houseboat property is the sole responsibility of the guest and will be charged.
  • Do not drop sanitary napkins, plastics, or insoluble items into the closet/toilet.
  • Please check and take care of all personal belongings and baggage before leaving the boat.

Backwater Natural Habitat

  • Flies and small insects are part of the natural backwater ecosystem and cannot be 100% eliminated. They naturally gather around light sources at night.
  • Kindly cooperate with our crew members so they can serve you better throughout your stay!
