Cancellation Policy

All cancellations should be intimated through email: beautifulalleppey@gmail.com. Cancellation through WhatsApp, Message, Facebook, and over the phone will not accept. And the refund policy will be effective from the date of receipt of this email. All refunds will be processed within two weeks of receipt of the E-mail.

Policy Regarding Cancellation / No Show / Early Departure:
 
 
In the case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reason/s whatsoever, we must be intimated in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date of receipt of your letter.
 
The cancellation charges are appended herewith:
 
 Average advance amount: 50% of the tour/service cost.
 
  • For cancellations made 15 days or more prior to the scheduled departure date: Guests will receive a full refund, minus a processing ₹1000.
  • For cancellations made between 7 to 14 days prior to the scheduled departure date: Guests will receive a 50% refund of the total booking amount.
  • For cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the scheduled departure date: No refund will be issued.
  • Postponing the date is possible until 04 days prior to arrival. (based on availability and if weekends, holidays, or special days that days rates are applicable)
  • No refund for the cancellation is done after the tour/service starts or is partially used.
  • For Credit/Debit card/PayPal, there will be a 5% extra cancellation charge.

Special Circumstance 1 (Strike): If there is a labor strike or owner strike preventing the processing of the booking on the scheduled date, guests have the option to reschedule for another available date. Alternatively, a full refund of the amount paid by the customer will be provided.

Special Circumstance 2 (Natural Calamities):

In the event of natural calamities, guests have the option to reschedule their bookings for any available date. However, this rescheduling is not applicable during the peak season (20 December to 5 January), and price differences may apply for bookings during these dates. Refunds will only be provided for cancellations due to natural calamities, with the refund amount up to 90% of the advance payment made. Any bank charges or service fees incurred will be additional. Cancellations must be communicated via email to beautifulalleppey@gmail.com at least 3 days prior to the check-in date. Refunds will be processed within 45 working days. Please note that cancellations made through WhatsApp, Facebook, messages, or any other medium will not be accepted.

Special Circumstance 3 (COVID-19 Positive):

In the event that you or any member of your travel group tests positive for COVID-19, bookings can be rescheduled or canceled. To facilitate this process, we require the COVID-19 positive test result certificate/document and a copy of a valid government-issued ID card [any]. Rescheduling is subject to availability, with peak season price differences applicable. The advance payment made can be deducted from the new booking amount. Refunds will be processed after deducting Payment Gateway & Internet Handling Charges if payment was made via a payment gateway. Rescheduling or refunds cannot be processed without proper proof/supporting documents; otherwise, they will be subject to the normal cancellation/rescheduling policy. Please notify us via email as soon as possible for rescheduling or cancellations. Refunds will be processed within 20 working days. Requests made 1 day prior to the trip date will not be eligible for refunds or rescheduling.

Special Circumstance 4 (Houseboat Unavailability Due to Manual/Technical Issues):

In the event that we are unable to provide the booked houseboat due to manual or technical issues, we will make arrangements for another houseboat of the same category or similar type on normal days, excluding peak holidays such as Navaratri, Diwali, Christmas, and New Year.

If we are unable to secure any houseboats during peak holiday periods due to unavailability, we will refund your maximum advance payment. Please note that we will not assume any liabilities beyond the advance payment in such circumstances.

Modify Your Reservation:

To modify your booking dates, please notify us at least 10 days before the check-in date. Please note that no modifications are possible within 0-6 days before check-in. For day cruise houseboat bookings, amendments to the number of guests are subject to the boat’s capacity. You can increase the number of guests for a day cruise up to the maximum capacity of the boat for an additional charge. However, changing to a different houseboat may result in a price increase, depending on availability and dates.

Amendments are subject to rate and houseboat availability. If the desired houseboat or rate is unavailable, amendments cannot be made. In such cases, we recommend making a new booking and canceling the original one.

Please be aware that once a booking has been rescheduled, no further amendments or rescheduling will be allowed, and the full advance amount will be considered as cancellation fees with no refund.

Please note that there will be no cancellation refunds or amendments allowed for bookings during Navaratri Days (Pooja Holidays), Diwali Days, and from December 20th to January 10th.
