Back to Backwater – The Worlds' first Houseboat Rally
The Worlds’ first Houseboat Rally is conducted in Alappuzha on 2nd November 2018 called by the name “Back to Backwater”. The event is organized by the District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC), Alappuzha. The rally started from the Nehru Trophy Finishing Point and was continued for about 3 hours. The event featured about 200 houseboats and 100 Shikkara boats.
Mr. Kadakampally Surendran, Minister for Tourism will flagged-off the event at about 11:15 AM.
The ride was free of cost for the tourists with the lunch.
