General terms
  1. In the event that houseboats are unavailable, we’ll ensure a seamless experience by arranging an alternative of the same category or similar type. Please note that during peak holidays such as Pooja, Diwali, and Christmas, this may vary.

  2.  In instances where houseboats are unavailable during peak holidays, we’ll refund your maximum advance payment. Additionally, please note that we won’t assume any liabilities beyond the advance payment.
  3. To make a reservation, the primary booker must be at least 18 years old. Bookings cannot be made under the name of a minor.
  4. Prior to disembarking, guests are kindly reminded to ensure they have all their belongings with them, as any subsequent claims will not be accommodated.
  5. Guests are kindly advised that self-cooking is prohibited aboard our vessels, and as such, access to the kitchen is restricted. Should guests wish to have additional food prepared to their specifications, an extra cost and service charge will apply. These charges are to be settled directly with the boat crew before disembarkation.
  6. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards unruly behavior and misconduct by guests. Any such behavior will be promptly reported to the relevant authorities for immediate action.
  7. Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the houseboat due to their own negligence, as well as the negligence of their children or wards. Any such damages must be compensated to the houseboat owner before disembarkation.
  8. For safety purposes, guests are required to follow the instructions provided by crew members during check-in, check-out, cruising, anchoring, and docking of the boat without exception.
  9. Guests are kindly reminded to settle any unspecified or unanticipated direct or indirect expenses that may arise, beyond those already mentioned, directly before disembarkation.
  10. Booking offices, agents, and tour operators are required to thoroughly explain and ensure customers are fully informed about the terms and conditions for overnight houseboat stays at the time of accepting or confirming reservations. This proactive approach helps prevent any potential miscommunication and ensures a smooth experience for all parties involved.
  11. We operate solely as an online platform for booking houseboats and do not assume any managerial role regarding your personal responsibilities and obligations. Therefore, we cannot be held accountable for any actions, misdemeanors, or oversights on your part. Additionally, we do not take responsibility for managing your personal affairs, including the safety of your belongings and travel documents, neither before, during, nor after the cruise.
  12. “Beautiful Alleppey Tours” holds no responsibility for the quality of services provided by our affiliates. All bookings are subject to the terms and conditions set forth by the respective service providers.
  13. We cannot be held responsible for any loss, injury, or damage resulting from incidents beyond our control.
  14. We do not maintain an insurance policy. It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure they have adequate insurance coverage. All luggage and personal belongings are the sole responsibility of the guests at all times.
  15. Exactness Not Guaranteed: We cannot guarantee the precise accuracy of any service provided by the houseboat operator. While photographs of houseboat interiors displayed on our website are sourced from the respective owners/managers, we cannot guarantee the visual appeal of a specific room selected by you. Likewise, while we strive to ensure enjoyable holidays, we cannot guarantee that the backwater tour will match your mental perception, imagination, or expectations.
  16. Houseboat bookings are processed directly with the operators. We review and confirm the quotes after coordinating with them. If the operator accepts bookings from another source and you have already made a payment through us, rest assured that we will promptly refund the amount paid.
  17. Regarding Honeymoon Inclusions: The honeymoon cake specified in your booking will be a normal vanilla cake, approximately weighing 400 grams. Alternatively, for an additional fee, a special cake can be arranged. Please ensure to provide details of any special cake requirements to our houseboat team at least 2 days before the cruise for proper arrangement.

During Stay in Houseboat

  1. For 21-hour houseboat bookings, check-in commences at 12 noon, while check-out is scheduled for 9 AM. It’s important to understand that any delays in check-in won’t affect the check-out time. All meals served during the houseboat stay are based on a fixed menu. Air conditioning will be available from 9 PM to 6 AM for Deluxe category bookings and operates full-time for Premium and above categories. Additionally, please take note that the houseboat will be anchored from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM in accordance with government regulations prohibiting boat usage during this timeframe.
  2.  Food will exclusively be served in the dining area, and guests are strictly prohibited from consuming meals in the bedrooms or any other area of the houseboat.
  3. In the event of an unexpected technical issue causing the air conditioning system to malfunction, the stay in the same boat will proceed under non-AC conditions. Clients will be eligible for reimbursement of up to Rs 1000 as compensation.
  4. Parents are solely responsible for the safety and well-being of their children during their stay on the houseboat.
  5. As a safety precaution, guests are not allowed to be outside of their rooms or to sleep outside of designated areas after 10:00 PM.
  6. During nighttime, houseboat staff will be present in designated areas such as the front area or upper deck for the safety and security of guests and the houseboat itself.
  7. Cruise Hours: Between 12 Noon and approximately 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM, with a designated hour allocated for lunch service. Morning cruises are scheduled from 8 AM to 9 AM, followed by check-out. For larger houseboats, morning cruises may occur from 6:30 AM to 7:50 AM or 7:00 AM to 8 AM due to parking constraints. Check-out is at 9:00 AM. Please be aware that day cruises are fixed and could be influenced by weather conditions.

Adult & child policy

Children Below 5 Years:

A single child below the age of 5 enjoys a complimentary stay and food shared with parents. Please note that no additional food arrangements will be provided, including fish, tender coconut, or extra plates for dishes. Additionally, only one child per room is permitted.

Children aged between 5 and 11 years old:

An additional charge (ranging from Rs 750 to Rs 2,500) applies for each child in this age group. They are required to share bed space with their parents.

12 years and above

Guests aged 12 years and above are considered adults and will be subject to extra person norms. Additional charges apply for each adult, inclusive of food. Prices range from Rs. 800 to Rs. 3,500, varying based on the specific houseboat.
