Kerala Houseboat Food Menu Details
Almost all Kerala Houseboat provides the same kind of food menu in the houseboat. All food is preparing onboard in the kitchen situated on the rear side of the houseboat. The food preparing is in traditional Kerala style. The only changes are the rice and oil using, refined sunflower oil is using instead of coconut oil and rice is White/Basmati.
If you are a Nonvegetarian, you have lot more choice than the Vegetarians. You have the option to buy fresh fish, crabs, prawns from the like side fish stall. The chef in the houseboat will cook it for you.

Welcome Drink:
Fresh juice/Tender Coconut
Lunch:
1. Rice, 2. Sambar, 3. Mixed Vegetables Thoran (Carrot, Cabbage, Beans), 4. Mezhukupurathy (Long Beans), 5. Fish Fry (Pearl Spot / Seer Fish), 6.Banana Kalan, 7. Pappadam, 8. Salad, 9. Pickle, 10.Tropical seasonal fruit.
Evening:
Coffee or Tea, Banana Fritters or Onion Pakkoda
Dinner:
1. Chappati, 2. Dal Curry, 3. Chicken Roast, 4.Vendakka Mezhukupurathy, 5. White Rice and Raitha,6. Salad.
Breakfast:
Tea /Coffee
Bread, Jam, Butter, Omelette. OR
Iddly, Sambar, Chutney (By default) OR
Dosa, Sambar. OR
Poori Masala. OR
Idiyappam and Kadala Curry / Egg Roast. OR
Appam and Vegetable Curry / Egg Roast. OR
Puttu and Kadala Curry.
Please do not waste food. Always keep in mind that there are people dying of hunger
The Lunch can serve traditionally on Banana Leaf upon advance request only. By default, it will serve on the plates.
Fish will be one fish or one piece per person. For breakfast, it will be default menu. Any change/extra has to inform at least before the Houseboat start.
For drinking, bottled packed drinking water / 20-liter jar water is providing in the Houseboat.

NB: Vegetarian, Jain food are available on prior request. The Pure Vegetarian menu will be applicable only if all traveling people are vegetarian. If it is mixed groups there will be changes in the displayed Veg food
